Most insurance policies pay for breast procedures when they’re medically necessary. New York Breast Surgery Center is not in-network with any insurance carrier, but the team works with your insurance company for out-of-network coverage. You still may have to seek reimbursement.

“We help you research how much, if anything, your policy covers,” says Dr. Shokrian. “But when a procedure isn’t deemed medically necessary, it’s considered cosmetic, meaning it’s typically not covered by insurance.”

Breast reductions and lifts are primarily performed using conventional insurance. The same is true for breast reconstructions, which is often done after a mastectomy.

If you don’t have insurance, we offer a cash option and financing. You can expect to pay out-of-pocket for breast augmentation, however. In New York City, the average price of a breast augmentation is between $18,000 and$25,000 without the facility and anesthesia fees.
